In Words from the Experts
29Apr 09 Before God we are all equally wise – and equally foolish. True art is characterized by an irresistible urge in the creative artist. I do not believe that civilization will be wiped out in a war fought with the atomic bomb. Perhaps two-thirds of the people of the earth will be killed. I live in that solitude which is painful in youth, but delicious in the years of maturity. There is no logical way to the discovery of these elemental laws. There is only the way of intuition, which is helped by a feeling for the order lying behind the appearance. Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves. A table, a chair, a bowl of fruit and a violin; what else does a man need to be happy? Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. People love chopping wood. In this activity one immediately sees results. In order to be an immaculate member of a flock of sheep, one must above all be a sheep oneself. All these primary impulses, not easily described in words, are the springs of man’s actions. Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character. An empty stomach is not a good political adviser. When the solution is simple, God is answering. Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler. The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. No amount of experimentation can ever prove me right; a single experiment can prove me wrong. The grand aim of all science is to cover the greatest number of empirical facts by logical deduction from the smallest number of hypotheses or axioms. Never lose a holy curiosity. One strength of the communist system of the East is that it has some of the character of a religion and inspires the emotions of a religion. Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex. Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination. Everything that can be counted does not necessarily count; everything that counts cannot necessarily be counted. It should be possible to explain the laws of physics to a barmaid. There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle. Memory is deceptive because it is colored by today’s events. Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts. You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else. If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it? Only one who devotes himself to a cause with his whole strength and soul can be a true master. For this reason mastery demands all of a person. The Best Open Source Firewall/Routing SoftwarePosted by admin

23Apr 09 Yes I know its a big call, but… read on. In my search for an Open Source firewall software package for my company network I looked at Smoothwall, IPcop and Monowall to name a few. Then I came across Vyatta. This software is tauted as better than Cisco and its free. Admittedly, you will need to have a certain level of networking knowledge to configure it and there is a great deal of documentation on their site as well as community forum. For a business solution to your firewall and networking needs definatly look at Vyatta . I am extremely impressed and happy with the product and stability. Splendour in the Grass 2009Posted by admin
In Music
23Apr 09 Splendour In the Grass, the annual music, arts Festival which takes place on the outskirts of Byron Bay each July/August since 2001. The Festival has featured a staggering array of the world’s leading music talent including Coldplay, Bloc Party, Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age, Moby, Brian Wilson and many, many more. The festival is on the top of most discerning Australian music fan’s wish-lists of must-go Festivals, which combined with the event’s relatively small capacity compared to many of the summer festivals, results in feverish activity on the day tickets go on sale. This year’s festival will be the eighth Splendour In the Grass. The two-day event accommodates 17,500 people and has sold out in advance in each year of its existence, often within hours of going on sale – all tickets to last year’s festival were snapped up in just 5 hours, while the preceding three years’ events sold out in a little over a day. Immerse yourselves in the full ‘Splendour experience’ and take advantage of the on-site camping adjacent to the festival site. You cab set up your tent right outside the gates and establish your own Splendid tent city.
